Position Overview

The Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC) Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing revenue opportunities related to incremental modifications and expansions of existing low-voltage systems across all markets served. This role focuses on ongoing customer relationships and recurring sales tied to fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, critical communications systems, security, and audio-visual (A/V) systems.

What You'll Do

Sales & Account Management

  • Manage and grow assigned accounts with a focus on MAC opportunities.

  • Proactively identify system changes driven by building reconfigurations, campus expansions, modernization efforts, code compliance, or technology upgrades.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with administrators, facilities directors, IT staff, and purchasing departments.

  • Serve as the primary sales contact for existing customers requiring system modifications or enhancements.

 

Project Development

  • Evaluate customer needs and translate them into scoped solutions for fire alarm/security, nurse call, critical communications, and A/V systems.

  • Conduct site walks and collaborate with engineering, operations, and service teams to develop accurate proposals.

  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and scope clarifications.

  • Ensure MAC projects are properly documented, priced, and transitioned to operations.

 

Pipeline & Revenue Management

  • Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of MAC opportunities.

  • Track opportunities, forecasts, and customer interactions within the CRM system.

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets related to MAC revenue and account growth.

  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services, upgrades, or maintenance agreements.

 

Market & Compliance Awareness

  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and district requirements related to low-voltage systems in healthcare, K-12 and commercial facilities.

  • Stay informed on evolving technologies and best practices within fire alarm/security, nurse call, critical communications, and A/V systems.

  • Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, end-user presentations, and industry events as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of sales experience in the low-voltage systems industry.

  • Direct experience selling or supporting MAC-type work (moves, adds, changes, small projects, retrofits).

  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, critical communications systems, security, and/or A/V systems.

  • Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously with attention to detail.

  • Proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, maintain active automobile policy, and ability to travel locally to customer sites.

Work Environment

  • Office environment, temperature-controlled

  • Work Location: Stockton, CA.

  • Physical demands: Repetitive movement of hands and fingers, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Typing and/or writing, talking and hearing

  • Travel required: minimal, no overnights
