Position Overview
The HR Coordinator will be a central part of our team, responsible for managing daily HR tasks, processing weekly payroll, and performing regular audits for timekeeping. This is a hands-on role and the ideal candidate will have experience in construction or specialty contracting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities

Manage onboarding and offboarding processes

Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws

Coordinate benefits, PTO tracking, and employee reviews

Support recruiting efforts and coordinate interviews

Process payroll and maintain payroll records

Assist with performance reviews and associated tasks

Enter and maintain Certified Payroll reports, support audit preparation and provide documentation to team members as required
Qualifications
-
Proven experience in HR (3+ years preferred)

Experience in the construction or electrical contracting industry is a strong plus

Knowledge of payroll systems and HR best practices

Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred

Clean driving record and valid CA Driver’s License

Must pass background check, subject to applicable laws
Work Environment:

Office environment, temperature-controlled

Work Location: Stockton, CA, with occasional visits to local job sites

Physical demands: Repetitive movement of hands and fingers, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
