Position Overview

The HR Coordinator will be a central part of our team, responsible for managing daily HR tasks, processing weekly payroll, and performing regular audits for timekeeping. This is a hands-on role and the ideal candidate will have experience in construction or specialty contracting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws

  • Coordinate benefits, PTO tracking, and employee reviews

  • Support recruiting efforts and coordinate interviews

  • Process payroll and maintain payroll records

  • Assist with performance reviews and associated tasks

  • Enter and maintain Certified Payroll reports, support audit preparation and provide documentation to team members as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in HR (3+ years preferred)

  • Experience in the construction or electrical contracting industry is a strong plus

  • Knowledge of payroll systems and HR best practices

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred

  • Clean driving record and valid CA Driver’s License

  • Must pass background check, subject to applicable laws

Work Environment:

  • Office environment, temperature-controlled

  • Work Location: Stockton, CA, with occasional visits to local job sites

  • Physical demands: Repetitive movement of hands and fingers, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Typing and/or writing, talking and hearing

  • Travel required: none
