Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our operations team. This role is a key contributor to the success of our organization and workflow and will be the primary liaison between the internal team and the client. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or specialty contracting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful execution of all projects, with a focus on financial performance and client satisfaction

  • Coordinate with Superintendent to ensure appropriate project staffing levels, including any project-specific requirements

  • Establish comprehensive schedule in coordination with the team while identifying crucial timelines

  • Create and maintain SOVs with appropriately loaded costs and timelines

  • Establish close working relationships with external partners and project stakeholders

  • Proactively communicate with client representatives regarding scope and schedule of assigned projects

  • Attend all necessary project meetings, both in person and virtually, and represent company’s interests and objectives

  • Review and confirm all project budgets prior to project start up, and identify any risks and mitigation strategies

  • Review all contracts for correct project scope, schedule and budgets

  • Interface with sales, engineering, and operations team to ensure stakeholder buy in

  • Conduct project orientation for all field staff, provide all necessary project documentation and review team assignments

  • Participate in all WIPs meetings and provide relevant and accurate input on project status

  • Manage subcontractors, coordinate their activities to align with project scope and maintain fiscal responsibility while adhering to all industry standards and safety practices

  • Diligently track all project resources and their use, and identify any opportunities for project specific change orders

  • Manage project specific billings, and coordinate with finance staff for all invoicing, AR and AP activities

  • Expedite the provision of engineered shop drawings, and the collection of field mark-up sets (red lines) for accurate documentation of all field activities

  • Ensure timely completion of all necessary project milestones

  • Maintain project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages

  • Track project budgets, labor hours, and milestones

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards

  • Support procurement activities by managing purchase orders and tracking deliveries

  • Assist in the onboarding of new projects, including setup in project management software

  • Provide Certificate of Insurance for all assigned projects

  • Process Fringe Benefit Statement for all assigned projects

  • Process DAS forms for all assigned projects

  • Process Pre-liens, both Public and Private

  • Enter Project data into Certified Payroll service provider

  • Process Contracts / Purchase Orders / Letters Of Intent

  • Create Schedule of Values (SOV)

  • Assist with project closeout, Resolve open PO issues etc.

  • Transmit Installer Schedule

  • Voucher Vendor Invoices

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a project management role within the construction, electrical, or low voltage industry. PMI and/or Construction Management Degree preferred.

  • Strong understanding of construction project documentation and workflow

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or other project management software is a plus

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Clean driving record and valid CA Driver’s License

  • Must pass background check, subject to applicable laws

Work Environment:

  • Office environment, temperature-controlled

  • Work Location: Stockton, CA, with occasional visits to local job sites

  • Physical demands: Repetitive movement of hands and fingers, ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Typing and/or writing, talking and hearing

  • Travel required: minimal, no overnights
